Bipasha Basu, also known by her married name Bipasha Basu Singh Grover, is an Indian model and actress who appears primarily in Hindi language films,She was born on January 7, 1979 in New Delhi to Hindu Bengali family. She lived in Delhi till the age of eight in Pamposh Enclave, Nehru Place and studied at Apeejay High School. Later her family moved to Kolkata. Coming from a strong educational background, she also focussed on her qualifications before being a part of film line. She has two sisters, Bidisha is the elder one and Bijoyeta is the younger one. She is fluent in Hindi, Telugu, English and Bengali. In her childhood days she wanted to become a Doctor and had difeerent ambitions but ended up becoming Ford Supermodel of the World at the age of 17,She made her bollywood debut with the movie ‘Ajnabee’ in 2001. Later, she worked in several movies like ‘No Entry’, ‘Phir Herapheri’, ‘Corporate’, ‘Omkara’, and ‘Dhoom 2’. She has also appeared in Sonu Nigam’s video ‘Tu’ from his album Kismat and other two music videos. She has been listed for 35 nominations and won 11 of them. Till date she has appeared in 40 magazine covers,In 2008, She had another lead role in the film Race which went on to be another hit and also did a cameo in it’s sequel Race 2.
