Aditi Rao Hydari is an Indian film actress who works predominantly in Hindi and Tamil language films. Born and raised in Hyderabad, she is the granddaughter of statesmen Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari and J. Rameshwar Rao. Hydari made her on-screen debut with the Tamil film Sringaram in 2006.
Aditi Rao Hydari was born to Ehsaan Hydari and Vidya Rameshwar Rao into a prominent and wealthy family. She is the great granddaughter of Akbar Hydari and the grand niece of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, former Governor of Assam.
Her maternal grandparents Raja J Rameshwar Rao, headed the administration of Wanaparthi state and Shanta Rameshwar Rao, a much respected educationalist in Hyderabad and is the Chairperson of publishing house Orient Blackswan. Her parents had a love marriage, but they separated when she was two years old. Aditi moved to Delhi with her mother.
