Alia Bhatt was born on March 15, 1993 in Mumbai to Bollywood's renowned personalities Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan. Alia Bhatt's first acting role was as a child artist in 1999 film Sangharsh. She played the role of Preeti Oberoi in the movie which starred Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. According to the latest reports, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar is making an espionage thriller based on Harinder Sikka's book, Calling Sehmat. The story revolves around a Kashmiri woman, which is being played by Alia Bhatt. Alia's character is married to an army officer, who provides confidential information to the Indian intelligence during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
