For ‘Dhadak’, Janhvi Kapoor declined the offer to play The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s film – Hollywood actor Heath Ledger will always be remembered for his iconic role as The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight. The actor’s performance took the comic book character to another level and even him posthumous Oscar, a Golden Globe and BAFTA for his role in 2008 film.
However, Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor who is all set to debut with Ishaan Khatter in ‘Dhadak’ in Bollywood claimed that she was the original choice to play The Joker. Janhvi shared a throwback picture as her Insta story, where she can be seen dressed as the Joker with red nose and lips as she smiles to the camera. The star kid captioned it, “Lesser known fact: I was Nolan’s original choice for The Joker, had to decline for Dhadak’.
June 11th is yet another important date in Janhvi Kapoor’s acting career as ‘Dhadak’ trailer will be launched in Mumbai. Produced by Karan Johar and Zee Studios and directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is an adaptation of Marathi hit Sairat. Karan told DNA AFter Hrs, “We are honoured and excited to collaborate with Zee Studios on the official adaptation of the immensely celebrated and loved Sairat. Dhadak is Shashank’s third film post his Dulhania series and a true labour of love. We present Janhvi and Ishaan to the world today and can’t wait for the viewers to experience their innocence and magic on celluloid.”
‘Dhadak’ is all set to release on July 20th 2018.
