Gauhar Khan is an Indian actress, VJ and Model. She was the winner of popular reality TV show Bigg Boss Season 7. She gained popularity for her outstanding role in Ranbir Kapoor starrer, “Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year” in 2009. She has also done the first-ever Bollywood musical ‘Zangoora: The Gypsy Prince’ at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon where she played the female lead opposite Hussain Kuwajerwala and Kashmira Irani. Gauhar Khan was born on 23 August 1983 into a Muslim family in Pune, Maharashtra. She has completed her schooling from Mount Carmel Convent School, lullanagar, Pune. She has done a couple of television ads including Ford Ikon and Tanishq jewellery. She has also modeled for Manish Malhotra. Gauhar along with her sister Nigaar Khan appeared on a TV show “The Khan Sisters” which was Indian version of “Keeping up with the Kardashians”.
In 2002, Gauhar Khan has participated in Femina Miss India contest and secured fourth place. Later, she began her acting career with the film “Miss India: The Mystery” in 2003.
She has played an important role in the 2009 Yash Raj film, “Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year” followed by a supporting role in the hit movie Ishaqzaade. She was also seen in an item song ‘Parda Parda..’ which became very famous song of 2010 from the movie “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai”. She has anchored the film gossip show on Zoom Television.
