It is only after the actress bagged her second film, Raid, after Baadshaaho with Ajay that she started being quizzed about how she got lucky to star with the Singham superstar in back to back films. In a recent interview, Ileana was asked about her professional equation with Ajay and she took the opportunity to come clear of all the rumours. She said, “I have no qualms in saying that the only film he recommended me for was Raid.”
Interestingly, there is also word around town that the actor has recommended Ileana for Total Dhamaal as well and wagging tongues have it that the actor is putting in a word for the actress in all his films. To this, the actress said, “I haven’t met anyone for Total Dhamaal. So, it’s funny to hear these things.
But Ileana was quick to highlight that discussing work and recommending films is not new for co-stars. She also revealed in the same interview that not just Ajay, but even her Mubarakan co-star Arjun Kapoor helped her choose a film. “In fact, Arjun Kapoor has also recommended a script to me, so it’s not only about one actor,” Ileana said.
She even said that all the malicious rumours upset her a great deal and added, “I have tremendous respect for Ajay and he has been nothing but respectful to me.” In Raid, Ajay and Ileana play onscreen husband and wife. Ajay’s character is an income tax officer, who conducts a hi-profile raid.
