Jacqueline was born on August 11, 1985 in Bahrain. She was brought up in Sri Lanka and studied at The Sacred Heart School. She has three siblings, two brothers and a sister. She started to host TV shows at the age of 14. She has completed her graduation in Mass Communications from Australia and after returning back to Sri Lanka, became a political reporter. From the age of 8 years she had aspired to become an actress. She continued with modelling along with her career and in 2006 she was crowned the Miss Sri Lanka Universe. Later, in 2007 she appeared for the very first time in a commercial music video of Sri Lanka.
Jacqueline Fernandez was the anchor of Lanka Business Report and also used to write for The Daily Mirror. She used to do modelling in India and made her debut with the film Aladin opposite Riteish Deskhmukh.
Later, she appeared in famous sequels like Murder 2, Housefull 2 and Race 2. In 2014, Fernandez portrayed the leading lady in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick followed by ‘Roy’ where she played dual roles alongside Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor.
