Rani Mukerji was born on 21 March 1978 in Mumbai into a Bengali Brahmin Family. Her distinctive voice gave her unique personality among the Indian Actresses. Since childhood she had dream to become an actress. Salim Akhtar offered her a film Aa Gale Lag Jaa in year 1994 but her father did not agree as Rani was very young at that time. After completing her education she stepped into Bollywood.
Rani took a sabbatical post her delivery is all set to make her comeback with her upcoming movie Hichki. The film will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and will be produced by Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj film banner. The film will be have a positive and inspiring story about a woman who turns her biggest weakness into her biggest strength.
Rani Mukerji has started her acting career at the age of 14. She did a cameo role in a Bengali film Biyar Phool directed by her father. After two years, Salim Akhtar offered her Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat which was her debut film. Later she has done a movie Ghulam opposite Aamir Khan in 1997 which was a blockbuster hit. She got big break with Karan Johar’s superhit flick Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1988 opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
After this success she delivered back to back movies like Mehndi, Hello Brother, Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaay, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Black and several other.
