Raveena Tandon BARRED from promoting her film ‘Maatr’? – The film is slated to release on April 21
The Cine and TV artists Association (CINTAA) has requested Raveena Tandon to not promote her upcoming film Maatr, reports Mid-Day. That is because Anjum Rizvi, who is producing the film, has not cleared the artistes’ dues of his past project, the remake of Sai Paranjype’s Katha.
Starring Maniesh Paul, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub and Sharmiela Madre, the movie is directed by Khalid Mohamed. Amit Behl, joint secretary of CINTAA is quoted saying, “Khalidji had told me about the issue six months ago. At that time, I also learnt of a complaint by Chiranjeet. A non-co-operation notice was issued by CINTAA against Anjum, who promised to clear dues as soon as his next kicks off.”
A letter was sent to Raveena by CINTAA which asked her to avoid promoting Maatr as her fellow actors are yet to be paid. “We have approached Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association and TV Producers Council and The Film & Television Producers Guild to look into the matter,” says Amit.
