Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhry made a dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the Subhash Ghai film Pardes. The character of Ganga in the movie was much appreciated and she became a star overnight.
Mahima's real name is Ritu Chaudhry and she won Best Debut Actress at Filmfare and Zee Cine Awards for her very first film. She celebrated her 44th birthday on September 13. The actress has done a number of movies lke Daag, Dhadkan, Dil Kya Kare, Baghban and others. She later distanced herself from the showbiz.
Mahima was often romantically linked to Tennis player Leander Paes, who later got married to Rhea Pillai. Mahima too moved on and tied the knot with businessman Bobby Mukherjee. Unfortunately, her marriage didn't last long and they split up in the year 2013.
As of now, Mahima is a single parent to her daughter with her ex husband, Ariana.
