Over the past year, if we’ve learned anything about Disha Patani, it’s that she’s fit and flaunting it. Look at her Instagram videos and posts and you will know what we are talking about! She is one of the fittest Gen-Y actresses today and that’s why we decided to get her to talk about fitness. Here’s what she said…

Daily routine: I follow a routine on a daily basis, which comprises dance class, gymnastics and going to the gym. I also spend about half an hour on yoga, too.

Fitness is…: Being active, being able to sustain and survive any task in any given situation and come out a winner.

Necessity or love? I was always into sports and as a sportsperson, you need to be fit to survive and play from start to finish. As I grew up, I started practising gymnastics. I love dancing as well. So that keeps me fit.

Run a marathon? I haven’t, yet. But it is definitely on my bucket list and I plan to strike it off soon.

Principles of fitness: Discipline, dedication, stamina and endurance.

Fitness for everyone! Not just women, people in general should be fit. They should engage in at least one activity daily — be it jogging, swimming, dancing, etc.

On DNA iCan: It’s a beautiful initiative where women come together and they run for themselves which, in turn, is gonna help others, too. It’s a brilliant idea.
