Scoop: How Disha Patani managed to beat Mouni Roy and Kiara Advani to bag Salman Khan’s Bharat – Salman Khan‘s gearing up for the release of Race 3, post which the actor will begin shooting for Bharat. While Priyanka Chopra was already confirmed for the film, it was recently announced that MS Dhoni: The Untold Story actress Disha Patani too has been roped in for Bharat. Further, on Tuesday, the makers revealed that Tabu too has joined the cast of the film, making it quite a casting coup. However, did you know, that Disha Patani was not the first choice for the role? If recent reports are anything to go by, then Disha’s part was first offered to Kiara Advani and then Mouni Roy too was being considered for the said part. But finally, the role went to Disha Patani. Now, how did that happen?
A report on SpotboyE suggests that the first choice for Disha’s role was Kiara Advani, who happens to be the niece of Salman’s first girlfriend, Shaheen Jaffrey. The report quoted a source as informing that the actor was quite keen on having Kiara on board. Turns out that apparently, Salman’s friend Prashant Gunjalkar, who looks after the production wing of Salman Khan Films, met up with Kiara twice, but some how, things didn’t work out as they should have.
The report further adds that Mouni Roy too was being considered for the part but the discussion with the popular TV actress hit a roadblock because of date issues. Hence, eventually, the role fell in the lap of the Baaghi 2 actress.
Reportedly, Disha will be seen playing the part of a trapese artist in a circus set in the 1960s in the film. The circus seegment is supposed to be a tribute to Raj Kapoor by director Ali Abbas Zafar.
