Shruti Haasan was born on 28 January 1986 in Chennai, India. Her father superstar Kamal Hassan is an Iyengar and mother Sarika is a half-Maharastrian and half-Rajput. Being a daughter of renowned actors, she holds a great interest in music and cinema. She has a younger sister Akshara, an Indian film actor, screenwriter, assistant director who works primarily in Bollywood and Tamil film industry. Shruti has also persisted her stint in music with her father’s production Unnaipol Oruvan and her own music band and album.
Shruti Haasan is an Indian singer, actress and music composer who has appeared in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. As a child actor, she has appeared in his father’s movie ‘Hey Ram’. She made her adult acting debut in 2009 Hindi film ‘Luck’. She later went on to feature in many Telugu movies like, Anaganaga O Dheerudu, Oh My Friend, Gabbar Singh, Balupu, Race Gurram, Srimanthudu and many more. Shruti has also featured in several hit Hindi films. She was recently seen in Katamarayudu opposite Pawan Kalyan.
Shruti Haasan will be seen romancing bollywood star Rajkummar Rao in an upcoming film ‘Behen Hogi Teri’. It is being directed by Ajay K Pannalal and will be released on 2 June 2017.
She will also be seen alongwith her father Kamal Haasan in an upcoming trilingual comedy-adventure film Sabaash Naidu. It also features Brahmanandam, Vijayakumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vir Das and many more in pivotal roles. The movie will be released in November 2017.
