Sridevi was born on 13 August 1963 in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India. She has started acting at the age of four and made her debut in the late 1970s. She has also walked as a show-stopper for famous designers and appeared on the covers of several fashion magazines.
Sridevi is an Indian film actress, who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and a few Kannada films. She is regarded as one of the greatest and most popular actresses of Hindi Cinema. Sridevi is also often cited as “The First Female Superstar of the Indian Cinema”. In 2013 CNN-IBN national poll Sridevi was voted ‘India’s Greatest Actress in 100 Years’. In 2015, Sridevi was appreciated with the ‘Ultimate Diva’ award at the Ciroc Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards.
Sridevi was born to a Tamil father Ayyapan and Telugu mother Rajeswari. Her father was a lawyer, who passed away in the year 1991. She has a sister named Srilatha and a step-brother named Satish. Sridevi got married to Boney Kapoor, a film producer and the elder brother of actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor on June 2, 1996. The couple have two daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi. Sridevi spends a lot of time with her daughters and is very much close to them.
