Actress Swastika Mukherjee lived a “self-styled simple life”. Her favourite films were Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. She got married at a very tender age of 18, but was broken within two years of span. Her husband singer Pramit Sen, used to harass her and lock her in a room when she was pregnant. Later a case was filed on him because of his inhumanity. According to Swastika, Pramit filed for divorce in 2000, but changed his mind later when she became successful in her acting career. She had one daughter from the marriage, Anwesha, born in 2000.
Swastika Mukherjee is a smashing Bengali actress, who was born on 13 December 1980 in Kolkata. She has done her schooling at Carmel School, Kolkata, St. Teresa School and Gokhale Memorial School. She first started her acting with the tele-serial Devdasi. Later made her debut in 2003 with the film “Hemanter Pakhi”. Her first lead role was with Ravi Kinnagi in movie “Mastan”. In 2001 she enrolled at the Ananda Shankar Centre for Culture, learning dance from veteran Tanushree Shankar. She was recently seen alongside Sushant Singh Rajput in Detective Byomkesh Bakshi movie.
Swastika Mukherjee was born to Santu Mukhopadhyay and Gopa. She has one younger sister Ajopa. Swastika is married to singer Pramit Sen, who is the son of Rabindra Sangeet singer. Soon after two years they got seperated. She gave birth to a girl baby named Anwesha Sen in 2000.
