The music video for Lost Without You, a track from the upcoming film Half Girlfriend, has just been released a day ago. The film, based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name, follows Madhav Jha, a Bihari boy who attempts to woo a girl from a different class of the society; however, much to his confused dismay, she cannot be more than his “half girlfriend”.
The song Lost Without You seems to show a heartbroken Madhav, played by Arjun Kapoor, tracking the girl he loves in New York City, where she apparently wants to sing live in bars and restaurants, after she leaves him.
In a desperate quest for her, Madhav walks from bar to bar and street to street, following almost every single live performance in the city and every female lead singer he spots resembles and reminds him of his lost half-girlfriend, a little trite but still effective enough.
The song has been written by Kunaal Vermaa and Anushka Shahaney and the lyrics clearly channel a desperation for being with someone missed dearly and it compliments the music video quite well.
The song has been sung by Anushka Shahaney and Ami Mishra and composed by Ami Mishra as well.
