Will Anushka Sharma cast any of the Khan for one of production ventures? – Here’s what the actress says

Anushka Sharma has acted opposite A-Listers as well as the three Khans and continues to share a great working relationship with all of them, but has never approached them for her production. The actress is a bankable producer, with two films now under her belt.

She rues that fact and reasons, “Right now, fitting in superstars in the stories that we are telling, is difficult. Both Phillauri and NH10 didn’t require superstar heroes.”

That doesn’t mean that a film with the Khans is off the cards. She adds, “For us, everything begins from the script. Tomorrow, we could write a script that might require a huge budget. If I feel that’s a role that fits the Khans or any other big star, I will definitely pitch the film to them. It has to be the correct part to offer them.”

She quickly adds, “I cannot write a film for an actor. I will never do that. It will always have to be the other way round. We write the script and then take a call on who we feel will be able to do justice to that film. That’s the right way of working. Sometimes, when you work the other way round, you can mess up things. Many films haven’t done well because of that reason.”

The Salman Khan-Karan Johar film starring Akshay Kumar is a first in Bollywood. Anushka applauds the move and hopes this brings about a change. “I am happy that we are gradually moving towards achieving a stage where it’s not a game of egos and insecurities anymore,” she adds.
